Task: Creating a poster that showcased what we have explored during the class, through one of our past papers.
Description: I chose to elaborate on my final paper studying the "Karen" Meme, where I used the knowledge gained throughout the semester in combination with research to emphasize key elements that allow memes (specifcally "Karen") to appeal to others and remain relevant, conveying the story behind Karen and all the meanings/implications of it within Pop Culture.
Execution: I used Canva to create the poster, incorpoating textual evidence and images/examples in a visually appealling way to interest the viewer/audience.

Project: Annville-Cleone Fire Department Promo Video
Class: Storytelling for Digital Media(DCOM 283)
Programs Used: iMovie
Task: I was given some interviews/sit down videos with different volunteer firefighters at the Annville-Cleona Fire Department. With these videos, I was tasked with creating a meaning full "mash-up".
Description: I utilized clips where the volunteers discuss their different backgrounds and the sense of family that exists for those volunteering together at the firehouse. These clips highlight the diversity of the members and the "firehouse family" atmosphere that exists. Telling the story of "who your local figherfighers are" and "what inspires them to serve the community throught the ACFD"
Execution: I combined the chosen clips on iMovie and added titles and music to make the video feel more cohesive. Overall, the video showcases the sense of community within the Annville-Cleona Fire Department and inspired others to become apart of it.

Project: How to Volunteer (Annville-Cleona Fire Department)
Class: Storytelling for Digital Media(DCOM 283)
Programs Used: Procreate, Canva
Task: Explain/Describe How to Join The Annville-Cleona Fire Department, with the overall goal of attracting more volunteers.
Description: This infographic is for the Annville-Cleona Fire Department and is intented to explain/simplify the volunteering process and to inspire people to volunteer. Rather than presenting it a streamline process of messaging them, I chose to eleaborate providing them with the infomation of the journey ahead rather than just next steps.
Execution: I used Procreate to create/refine some of the images and logos, then I used Canva to combine these elements and add steps describing the volunteering process. I chose to explain the process as a journey of discovery/purpose rather than with literal step-by-step tasks. Thus, this project not only tells people how to volunteer but also informs them of the different ways/tasks needed to do so, highlighting the public service aspect of volunteer firefighting.

Project: How to Make Sushi Book
Class: Digital Graphic Design (DCOM 151)
Programs Used: Procreate, Canva
Task: Creating a book describing how to do something, I chose making sushi (it's my favorite food).
Description: I chose to use chronological steps as it was a "how-to" book, and included a progress bar along the top of the right page to show where in the process each step lies and provide a general overview throughout. I used a mainly green color palette accented with white to resemble the color scheme of sushi itself.
Execution: I used procreate to draw the images for each of the steps, and Canva to create and assemble/format the book. Overall, this project used my first-hand knowledge/experience making sushi to craft a thorough and realistic how-to-book on the topic.
Task: Create a logo and merchandise for a zoo or animal sanctuary, I chose a theoretical local bird sanctuary.
Description: Utilizing knowledge of the town of Annville (from its surrounding businesses to it general atmosphere) and existing bird sanctuaries, I designed a logo that reciprocated recurring aspects.
Execution: I used Procreate to sketch out logo ideas, and create the bird image. I also used Canva and Adobe Illustrator to create the overall logo and merchandise. With attention to desired connotations, I chose a color scheme and stylistic elements to reflect a refined, offical, local, and friendly business.

Project: Design/Media/Technology Department Story Promo
Class: Storytelling for Digital Media (DCOM 282)
Programs Used: iMovie
Task: Telling a fellow classmates discovery and journey to/within the Design Media Technology (DMT) Department at Lebanon Valley College, with the goal of highlighting the importance and value of the department.
Description: While the interview style was required, I personally chose to conduct it in a DMT related space and to inlcude the particular b-roll clips of the campus, DigiCom Lounge, and the March to Kreiderheim. I aimed to not only tell Laura's story but also showcase the community aspect through the use of conversation overlapping b-roll.
Execution: I used iMovie to edit the clips together, mix the audio, and add text. Overall, the video highlights belonging within the college, especially the major.

Project: Among Us Product Commercial
Class: Editing/Post-Production (DCOM 341)
Group Members: Sam Dozier, Moses Hawley, & Alexis Seidenstricker
Programs Used: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premier Pro
Task: For this project, we were all randomy assigned into groups and asked to film a commercial for a randomly assigned product. My group was assigned Among Us figurines.
Description: We utilized the product itself along with pre-existing audio and visual (logo) materials that surround the brand. I personally helped guide the filming process, by designing/altering the script, keeping track of what we were looking to shoot, and also making sure we highlighted the products features.
Execution: I gathered relevant logos and images and used Adobe Illustrator to refine them. I also used Adobe Premier Pro to edit the video together (adding transitions, music, and effects). Overall, the video highlights the features of the product through a embedded storyline catered to the prospective audience.

Project: Human Centered Design Poster (Water Heater)
Class: Principles of Informative Design (DCOM 130)
Programs Used: Axure, Canva
Task: Redesign the water heater interface through the lens of human-centered design. With the goal of of creating a poster that showcases the redesigned water heater, I focused on improving user experience and addressing user needs/preferences.
Description: The human-centered design process involved multiple steps all focused on user insights, behaviors, and preferrances.
Execution: I used Axure to create a prototype design for the water heater and then Canva to create all the elements and design the poster. Overall, the poster not only visually communicates the redesigned features and benefits of the water heater, but also emphasizes the design process utilized.

Project: Wasabi Bistro Resturaunt Site Redesign
Class: Web Markup and Layout (DCOM 170)
Programs Used: Axure, Canva, Sublime
Task: For this project, we were asked to chose a local resturaunt, that currently had a poorly designed website and improve it. I chose Wasabi Bistro as I saw their current site had alot of "pain points".
Description: With a strong focus on these areas and I chose to utilize and further my knowledge of HTML with the goal of emphasizing the simplicity, compatibility, and accessibility while still enabling effective content organization of the site.
Execution: I used Axure to prototype potential designs, Canva to craft/edit visual elements, and finally Sublime to code the website. With goals to improve particular features on the pre-existing site, I successfully added more information regarding the various menus and gave the site more content adding pages for better organization.

Project: Clothing Store Database Website
Class: Databases in Design (DCOM 271)
Programs Used: Adobe, Canva, Sublime
Task: For this project, we were randomly assigned a type of store and told to build a website recalling from a database to showcase theoretical items the store may have.
Description: I was assigned to create a clothing store, with a focus on/towards an audience I am familar with - College Students.
Execution: I used Adobe and Canva to find and craft/edit visual elements for the site, and also Sublime to code the website, which I housed on the class server. With focus on the functionality of the filters for allowing the user to find what they're looking for and also a cohesive design (as I have it coded that only specified elements-predesigned can be called from the database).

Project: ParkPal
Class: Intro to Entrepreneurship (DCOM 262)

Task: Creating a business idea (that solves a problem) and showcasing its viability through a business model canvas (BMC), my group members and I invented Parkpal.
Description: With a focus on the current campus parking issues, we discovered the best way to have the application benefit both students and the campus parking staff.
Execution: I utilized Procreate to design a replica of the parking lot and the application elements. I also used Microsoft Powerpoint and Word to work in collaboration with my group members to develop the business plan and the individual elements for the BMC.
