Harley was a loving and considerate person she never held grudges and was trustworthy to a fualt. She loved basketball, to write poety, and always wanted to get married and have children. Sadly Harley was found unresponsive by her grandfather on December 21st, 2016. She would pass before medical help arrived. Harley was a kind person who would entertain inmates with sock puppets during her time incarcerated, an inmate credits Harley with saving her life. Harley wanted to go back to school, get her license, get married, and have kids. The legal system failed to get Harley the help she needed and she would eventually succumb to her addiction.
Coincidentally, we had two families present at this Day of Making event and along with our project's founder, Adam, all had a tattoo in memory of their lost loved one located in the same spot. Adam reflected, " Sometimes you are put in the right place for things like this to happen. We are becoming a stronger community through this work and we are saving lives. If you would like to become part of this project, please reach out and we will make it happen."
