The school's newest collegiate sport broadcasts their matches over the streaming service, Twitch. When the stream takes breaks, or for the beginning and end of the stream – they needed a screen to fill that delay time. I volunteered to make one, matching their existing hexagon pattern from a previous designer, and add their twitter handle. I made a few variations – depending on the break and they loved them. If you were to watch a stream you can see this design, with an additional motion graphic effect implemented by another media member.
I was involved with the Global Education's International Food Festival for Spring of 2018. Volunteers cooked food from all around the globe using their own recipes. I was asked to create allergy awareness posters so that people with potential allergies can stay away from those tables. In total, there were 7 posters for each section: The Americas, Oceania, Middle East, Asia, Europe, Caribbean, and Africa.
My club, Digital Valley or DigiVal, hosts various workshops over the year to teach exiting Digital Communications related things! This event was teaching the CSS frameworks of Bootstrap and Bulma to help create websites.
My major in Digital Communications has taught me to integrate multiple disciplines into each project. There are always instances of design, user experience, programming, and communication in every project and below will show how much those amounts are utilized. The more filled the bars are, the more that concentration was used in the process of making the project.
