My project is taking the theme of "Tell" very literally by doing just that: telling a story. The concept for this short animatic came to me while listening to the song On by experimental electronic artist Aphex Twin. I closed my eyes and listened to the rises and falls of intensity as well as the atmosphere within the track and built a narrative within my head which I then translated into the scenes of the animatic. The scene tells the brief story of a man who finds himself in a mysterious location faced with an enemy of epic proportions. Through the short story we see the man's determination to fight and survive.
