For the painting assingment in my Commercial Art and Design course, I had to paint a species of native Pennsylvania ducks that would be entered in an annual
competiton for the chance to be featured on a state postage stamp. I began by Photoshopping a male and female duck onto a water background and creating their reflection in
the water. Using that final image as reference, I spent the next two and a half to three months painting the ducks freehand before finally airbrushing the water in the
background. Unfortunately, my painting was submitted too late to the competition and I wasn't able to win or even be considered.
