Description: For this project, we were instructed to redesign the MyLVC portal to make it more usable. Contextual inquiry helped us to better frame the problem. By watching people use MyLVC in their natural context, we could determine where there were pain points in the existing system. Our designs had to accommodate different principles of design that we learned about throughout the semester.
Process: With each new version of our design, we had to apply specific principles of design. For the final version, we had to compare the earlier versions and decide which parts of each were most effective and bring them together to create a final version. The final design accommodates principles of design that were first applied in versions a and b.
